Discover your Purpose and Live a Purpose-Driven Life

Random afternoon rant, inspired by one of Pastor Sarah Omakwu's messages that I just listened to.  It really charged me up and got me thinking so I typed this up and just thought I'd share...So, Enjoy :)
  Clear-Sense-Of-Purpose

About 60,000,000 sperm cells competed for you to be here...that means that God MEANT for you to be here and you are not here by mistake, so discover YOUR purpose and the reason for your existence. You were not created to sign a birth certificate, struggle through life, go to school, get a job, marry, have kids and collect your death certificate afterwards, NOPE I refuse to believe that...There's GOTTA be MORE in between, therefore I urge you to start asking yourself and your maker, "Lord, what is my purpose on this earth? What role was I created to fulfill? What am I supposed to be doing at this point in my life?"

If your source of gratification in life only comes from knowing how many cars, shoes, bags, clothes, houses or degrees you own or even what designer you're wearing, then you haven't started Living, you're only Existing and there is a difference.  Until you start living a life that is a BLESSING to others, you may be alive but like I said prior, you haven't started living.  For some, it might take some time but for others, they might have known for a while.

Until you discover the reason why YOU were created, life might seem like such a drag, so boring, redundant  and even meaningless at times.  Sometimes you may need to go through a life-changing experience that would reveal to you what your purpose is.  Your purpose can also be birthed out of your own talents/skills or even your passion or interest in a thing/group, etc.  Discovering your purpose will instill in you a sense of strength and courage and will serve as a fuel to persevere through trials...it can even serve as a compass to deter you from distractions and keep you on track because you know exactly where you're headed.  Your Purpose and Vision go "hand in hand" but I'll save that rant for another day :)

One of my favorite quotes...

Mark Twain - Find Your Purpose Inspirational Picture Quote

I've been having these thoughts about what my purpose in life is for many years now and I believe that is also how this blog came about.  (A more detailed story about how this blog/future plans came about, will be featured on a subsequent write-up).  I believe that part of my purpose is to learn and share that knowledge with others...My goal is to use this medium and several other media in the future, to educate and create awareness about several health related and medically relevant topics, but also discuss other aspects of life that help make our lives worth living, one day at a time.  I'm passionate about people in general but I have a "softer spot" for anything that pertains to Women and Children in general.  So therefore, my blog posts might mostly gear towards this population; however every now and then, I will also write about things pertaining to men's health as well as the elderly population, to mention a few.

There is a seed planted within all of us that is waiting to germinate and bear fruits. So let's get to work folks (myself included), making an impact in the life of others does not have to be anything Major...you can start with little steps and work your way up.  A little act of kindness can go a long way, and remember that the most rewarding experiences are those that you do in private that no one else but God knows about.  Shout out to all the unsung heroes, who do good but never feel the need to broadcast it.  The God that sees what goes on privately will reward you abundantly that there will not be enough room to contain it so the world will bear witness, that HIS name may be glorified.

Many times I've heard folks talk about the term "legacy", asking how would you like to be remembered when you are gone? And that is very true, in fact I believe it's a very legit question. I had to take a moment to ask myself this and I urge you to do the same.  What do you think folks would have to say about you if you were to pass tomorrow?? But of course that is not our portion in Jesus name, just a food for thought...To be contd.
