Debuting January 2014...

Hello Ladies & Gentlemen,

Thank you so much for stopping by at "The Docs Lounge"...I've had this idea on my mind for many years now, but a few months ago, myself and a few of my friends were engaged in a conversation and this idea randomly came back up.  One of the ladies suggested starting off with a blog, doing youtube videos in the meantime, till we're ready to take it further...We all loved the thought of it but everyone was really too busy to start it off...Well, just so I'm motivated to keep this idea going, I have FINALLY decided to start putting those thoughts into action.  The goal of this blog is simply to share medical knowledge, spread awareness through education & entertainment and just have a great time together, learning and enhancing one another a day at a time.  We anticipate having a LOT of subscribers from around the world; so therefore, we shall try to write in a manner that is all inclusive, by discussing topics that almost everyone can relate to :)

The idea is to get health practitioners in various specialties of medicine to write briefly about any topic of choice in their area of interest.  Each week or perhaps bi-weekly, we shall be sharing a post on different medically-related topics that our audience here in the diaspora, back home in Nigeria, across the African continent and other countries as well, can learn a thing or two from.  However, the twist is that we will try to deliver it in a manner that the average person can understand and summarize to another.  We hope to incorporate a little humor into it as well, so the message is passed across in a manner that leaves you "wanting for more" ;)

The topics are going to be rather engaging, so it can stimulate some sort of conversation within the blog.  We would LOVE to read all your comments and also feel free to tell us what you would like for us to blog about.  For now, please contact us at thedocslounge@gmail.com.
